Jamaica is the last stop for Jamaica-bound AirTrains. The station is definitely one of the busiest stops on the system, as it connects to the Long Island Rail Road and the New York City Subway. It connects millions upon millions of passengers every year, whether they are tourists, locals, and employees alike. The station is also one of two stations on the entire system where passengers are required to pay the $8.50 fare to enter and exit the station.
As you exit the station, there is a huge mezzanine that directly connects to (as mentioned before) the Long Island Rail Road as well as the New York City Subway's (E), (J) and (Z) trains.
